(Online Dating Industry Journal) Online Dating Magazine announced today that its host of Websites will no longer offer text ads or text links as part of its advertising program. Options to buy a text link have been removed from Online Dating Magazine and its network of 12 other informative online dating Websites. The buy a text link package has also been removed from the Online Dating Advertising Website.
While the majority of search engines don't have a problem with Webmasters making money from selling text ads, Google does. Google goes as far as punishing Websites that sell text ads, viewing it as a search engine manipulation tool instead of a genuine advertising revenue option. To appease Google, the entire Online Dating Magazine network of Websites no longer offers text links as part of any advertising package.
