West Coast iDate Starts June 25

(Online Dating Industry Journal) The fifth annual West Coast iDate two-day event begins on June 25 and is being held in Beverly Hills, California. The event, which also takes place in Miami every January is the leading business trade show for the online dating industry.

iDate trade shows focus on management, technology, business strategies and marketing. Major executives from the online dating, personals, matchmaking, social media and mobile industries attend the iDate trade shows every year.

Cupid.com/PreDating to Break Speed Dating World Record

(Online Dating Industry Journal) PreDating, the speed dating sector of online dating company Cupid.com, will attempt to establish the Guinness™ World Record for the largest simultaneous speed dating event ever held in one evening. On Wednesday, February 8th , about 125 Cupid.com/PreDating parties are scheduled to be held in more than 100 cities in the US and Canada. The company is estimating that over 4,800 single people will participate in the goal to break the world record, working out to about 43,200 6-minute speed dates in one evening.
