(Online Dating Industry Journal) Sharon Jayson of USA Today recently reported on some new dating book authors dealing with the growing population of older adults taking part in online dating. It seems like older singles are turning to online dating because they find it easier and more successful at their age than traditional dating methods. According to the article:
"Interest in dating and remarriage among older singles has become the subject of research. Deborah Carr, an associate professor of sociology at Rutgers University, studied that interest among people 65 and older who had lost a spouse. Carr, who reported her findings last year in the Journal of Marriage and Family, suggests that late-life romantic relationships will likely increase because the Internet has made it easier for older singles to meet."
