(Online Dating Industry Journal) Many singles have expressed their concern with the possibility of meeting a married man or woman through online dating an not knowing it. But now there is a new dating site that is actually trying to appeal to the married-but-looking crowd. According to a release by PrivateDateFinders.com:
"Research shows that over 30 percent of existing online date site members are either married or in relationships. However, no one has addressed this large segment of the online dating population who desire real privacy, or those who have never used online dating services because they didn't want anyone else to know. They simply do not want to get caught.
"PrivateDateFinders.com combines millions of dating profiles with privacy tools that offer the first confidential online dating site. It is the only dating site where visitors can find romance without anyone else knowing. The site offers a unique way to conceal both how you pay and also eliminates all of the tracks you leave behind. The results are confidential purchases and the comfort of knowing your activities remain private."
Kim's Comments:
PrivateDateFinders.com is outwardly appealing to married men and women or those in relationships who frequent online dating services looking to cheat on their partner. While I don't condone cheating, to each his or her own. The problem with PrivateDateFinders.com (which incidentally forwards to PrivateDateFindER.com) is that they are part of Relationship Exchange. Relationship Exchange is a singles database operated by Vintacom Media Group Inc. which dating sites can share in order to provide a larger memberbase for their users. If singles intentionally sign up to participate in a site like PrivateDateFinders.com that is their choice, but when singles are listed on a site that inadvertently promotes cheating just because they are part of the Relationship Exchange database, they can be portrayed as a cheater themselves without even realizing it. They may be approached by unwanted married men or women simply because their profile shows up on such a site, the exact problem that many singles are trying hard to avoid.
