(Online Dating Industry Journal) Paula Ebben of CBS4 Boston recently took a look into Boston's local dating scene and made note of what she considers a "new dating trend" - going to museums and similar locations not only to enjoy the art and culture, but to meet other singles. Many single people visit these places in hopes of meeting more intelligent or cultured people, or at least those that share their interests, than they might meet at the local bar.

I'm not sure how new this concept really is, but it does seem to be getting more and more popular. Some online dating niche sites are also trying to get in on the action. A new online dating service, IntellectConnect.com, is seeking to attract people looking for "intelligent dates" and "brainy friends". The look and style of the site is certainly appealing to the "intellectual" crowd of young singles (all the way down to the black rimmed glasses in the logo/slogan), and, as reported by CBS, the site has only been open for a few months but already has over 1,000 members.
