(Online Dating Industry Journal) UK dating and friendship site MakeFriendsOnline.com has announced that it’s subscription sales had doubled in the last twelve months. The list was launched in 2000 by school friends Martin Bysh and Marcus Hamilton and reached 500,000 members by 2004, according to press materials. The company claims that the UK element of their service is close to reaching its benchmark of a million members. The company contributes this expected growth in part due to their purchase of JMeet, a specialist dating site for the Jewish community.
