(Online Dating Industry Journal) Recently ODIJ posted an article about co-branding and online dating services. Today I came across co-branding of a sort by a dating site that will most likely have only a negative impact.
The founder of online dating service GetTogetherSafe.com provided a quote for press materials that help promote a book. The quote is fine and normally promotion of a book wouldn't be a bad move, but, in this case, the online book is titled "How to Stop Your Woman From Bitching". In a market where attracting more women is essential to success, this doesn't seem like a very smart move to me.
Cobranding can be very effective for both partners, but you have to make sure that the message delivered by your co-branding partner is consistent with your own message.
