(Online Dating Industry Journal) You can add MateCheck.com to the list of sites (mostly targeted toward women) that allow users to post information about former dates in an attempt to inform others who may be interested in dating them. MateCheck.com is a site specifically for women to warn women of men who have been dishonest or unreliable, similar to DontDateHimGirl.com and WomenSavers.com (formerly ManHaters.com). MateCheck.com offers reports on men with profiles posted on Yahoo, Match, Jdate, and AmericanSingles, among others. The site claims to have profiles on over 1,037,000 men. According to MateCheck.com:
"The concept of MateCheck was conceived several years ago when the founders were seeking a vehicle to evaluate business contacts on a more personal level. Finding nothing available, they founded RepCheck.com, an in-depth website that provided a platform in which individuals could discuss the reputations of others online. MateCheck would follow suit almost a decade later, providing women with comprehensive reports on men in the online dating community comprised of in-depth reviews and personality character ratings."
Kim's Comments:
This service seems a bit less invasive that some other similar services out there, which I think is a good thing. The problem with many of these services is that you can post way too much personal information about a man and yet not have to give up any information about yourself. This opens men up to the possibility of being slandered on the web with no way to retaliate because they may have no idea about the lies being spread online.
I LOVE this! I am so sick and tired of men lying in their profiles!
Go Matecheck!

I actually find their site to be quite interesting. I used their personality ratings to rate my last 2 dates. Neither of which were bad dates but things didnt work out. So other women will probably see my ratings as positive. I guess these sites can work both ways.
