(Online Dating Industry Journal) A new online dating service is trying to attract members by giving them the opportunity to make money during their experience with the service.
Bar4Fun allows members to buy other members "a drink". When you pay for "a drink" you get to communicate with that person for 5 minutes and they are credited with the cost of the drink.
Founder Tom Bradford’s concept is to create a trendy dating site themed as a bar, buying drinks online for people to give singles the incentive to join and be able to meet people online while earning money.
“The action of a guy offering a girl a drink at a bar is a very common social action," says Bradford. "It is then socially expected that by receiving a drink the girl will communicate with the guy for the length of time it takes to drink.”

I love it when a new service opens up that takes a unique approach and this one definitely falls into that category. Kudos to them. With that said, I do have a concern that the service will attract a lot of fake profiles with "model-like" pictures in order for people to make more money. Also, the site publicly announced its existence today, but not all the menu options are working as of press time. A site/service should never open prematurely - it can turn people off real quick and you never get a second chance to make a good first impression.
Also, you receive your payment via PayPal so I could see a lot of guys signing up for the service posing as women and talking in the "bar" all day to try and earn cash. That model "Anna" you are chatting with may really be "Jeff".
