(Online Dating Industry Journal) Just yesterday, the Online Dating Industry Journal wrote about Online Dating Scams. Today, the Times Record News has posted an article about one woman who fell victim to an online dating scam. The article is titled Cheated Love. Here's an excerpt:
"...After they started talking off Match.com, she noticed that his profile wasn’t up there anymore when she went back to look at it. When she asked, he said he hadn’t found anyone interesting and he was a one-woman man and believed in 100-percent honesty. When she checked with Match.com, the site said people can choose not to have their profiles appear or user names can be changed.
She also asked him for more pictures besides the small shot of a man sitting at a computer she had seen toward the beginning of their conversations. Finally, he sent two snapshots that can’t be enlarged without becoming increasingly grainy..."
