(Online Dating Industry Journal) Userplane, the creator of audio and video technologies for online dating and social networking services, today announced that it's newest product - Mediaplayer - will launch by June 2008. Mediaplayer allows sites and services to offer users the capability of uploading and publishing videos. A minichat application that ships with the product allows people viewing a video at the same time to chat about it.
“The release of Mediaplayer solidifies
Userplane’s brand as a complete social networking platform solution,” said Michael
Jones, CEO of Userplane and senior vice president of AOL, which owns Userplane.
Mediaplayer’s built-in interactive player will
feature video sharing, chat and discovery technology. Users will be able to upload video using the
Mediaplayer white-label uploader, and Web site administrators will have the
ability to review and confirm content before publishing it.
